The following are websites/projects (with informal descriptions) that I've created and managed over the years. As these were developed in my spare-time they may lack features/polish; but I welcome you to browse nonetheless.

Some of these projects may be several years old and the point of listing them at all is to provide greater detail than a paper based C.V and thus a greater understanding of my progression path/skill-set. I hope that by providing detail of my personal projects it will highlight my desire to see projects through to completion.

Note that the following are projects of my choosing where my focus is not purely on coding/development but instead utilise different aspects of my skill-set. For my professional experience (which is more focused on programming/development) please refer to the 'career' section.

My first 'true' website. DotWhat.net is a 'file extension resource website' that I started in 2005 after realising I could improve on what similar websites were offering at the time (in terms of both design and content).

Behind DotWhat is a bespoke administration panel that allows me to maintain the 11k file extensions that are shown on the website and to moderate user comments.

In its heyday (before Google's Panda/Penguin updates) it was receiving 8k unique visitors per day (almost 3 million per year). It is through DotWhat that I learnt about 'search engine optimisation' (SEO) and 'search engine marketing' (SEM) and promotion in general.

In recent years I outsourced and managed the coding, design and content creation to contractors due to time-limitations.

Amrak Software

Through DotWhat (see above) I noticed many visitors were looking for a way to extract their data from BlackBerry devices. At this point in time and with no experience of BlackBerry devices or more specifically their encryption algorithms - I sought the skills of a contractor to help me produce a Windows application to allow my visitors to extract their address book/messages/emails etc.

This application is now known as phoneMiner and has sold several thousand units worldwide to date.

Aside from creating the website and its promotion, through Amrak Software ('Karma' backwards) and phoneMiner I have produced a successful product from an initial design specification and managed developers/artists and complimented my employed experience by managing the entire product life-cycle.

Space Evaders

Project managed an Android game (using the Unity game engine) as a business experiment but mainly in order to gain a greater understanding of the processes involved in creating mobile applications (such as development platforms, mobile screen ratios/ads/Google Play marketplace etc).

Created web-services to receive player game scores and return high-score rankings/position.

Paxos Greece

I took ownership of PaxosGreece.com in 2011 and restructured the entire backend and site content with the intention of eventually implementing a complete redesign and re-working the majority of content.

Karma Solutions

I began my journey as a web-developer (and general I.T guy) creating websites for friends and family members in my spare-time. Karma Solutions was the business address I used during promotion of my services.

Montenegro Rentals

One of the final websites I produced through Karma Solutions (see above) in 2010 to hold details of a customer's rental property portfolio in Montenegro. The site is hand-coded and W3C compliant.
